KJW G23 Mag problem -- BBs don't stay in!
Ok, I just got a new mag for my G23 and began to load it. I pulled the spring down and put the first bb in, it dropped like a rock with no resistance. Ok I thought, lucky drop... so I continued to fill the mag with the same results, every BB dropped in without resistance. I let the spring go slowly and the bbs were popping out, they were not catching on the feeder of the mag. Not good... finally one caught and I loaded it into my pistol. Took it to the target range fired off one shot and it jammed. Three bbs were sitting in the way preventing the slide from cycling fully.
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Have any solutions? Know of any replacement parts? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Devon ***EDIT: The mag or lip of the feeder is NOT broken. |

Very carefully lay the side of the feedlips on a solid object, flat, and take a small hammer and VERY gently tap the other side a couple times, then try it out in your gun. Repeat until it works properly. If you end up taking it a bit too far, you can use a round tapered diamond file to take of small amounts of metal from inside the feedlips. I've had a couple of my KSC M11 mags do a similar thing, you just need to close off the feedlips a slight bit to allow easy loading.

I thought that piece was plastic, not metal, but I will take a look when I get home... in 6.5 hours :P

On closer inspection of the mag, there is a hairline fracture that is causing the plastic lip to push out when a bb is putting pressure on it. So... does anyone know where to get a replacement piece for KJW G23 mag?

I'd say take a look at TM Glock mags, I know that TM Beretta and KJ Beretta mags have the same lips, I haven't seen a lot of KJ replacement parts on the market, so your best bet is to verify compatibility with TM and look for TM part. DT or WGC might have it.

I'll take a look for those. In the mean time, are they the same part on G26/27 mags? They might be easier to find.
