From those I've seen, I would say the Classic Army is the best best of the higher end guns for price / performance. I wouldn't even see much of a need to upgrade it out of the box. Hell, I don't even see a need to upgrade my A&K (CA clone) other than for its wonky hopup. If it works reliably, shoots accurately, gives you no problems, there's no real need to upgrade.
