You need a larger battery to crank that heavy spring - something bigger than a 8.4v - 2000 mAh large pack will be OK. The stock motor and torque up gears will work fine with that setup. If you're feeling more adventurous, rewire the gearbox with 16 gauge wire and swap the battery plugs for Dean's plugs - you'll probably get a 10% increase in ROF.

Keep in mind that small packs (2/3 A cells) are meant to power stock guns - they just don't flow enough current to allow the motor to turn a heavy spring like an M130. The larger Sub-C cells in a large pack will flow waaaaaaay more current.

If you find yourself really strapped for battery space, you may want to consider an external battery bag, or the folding "KV-style" G36 stocks. Another alternative would be to switch to LiPo batteries - a 20C 2-cell Lipo (7.4 volt) will give you roughly the same performance as a 9.6volt small pack. However, that means you need to invest in a lipo charger, balancer, lipo sack, and other upgrades. As a third option, a Mosfet trigger with heavier (16 gauge) wiring might help you get the best performance out of your small batteries, if that's the route you choose to go.
