In airsoft, unless you're sniping, everything 4x and over is basically for spotting. The guns simply don't shoot that far.
Pick the 4x20 if you don't want to scope to take up too much of your normal, eye ball field of vision. Pick the 4x48 if you want a better field of vision when using the scope.
