Zinc-aluminum type alloys are typically used for die-casting where there are economical constraints. This allows for the manufacturing of complex designs at cheap prices. That isn't to say it's garbage... using the sling swivel should be okay, but don't be expecting to hang your body weight from that single point of contact.

As a point of reference, the version of this sight sold by Unicorn is only $28USD listed on UNCompany's web site. (I have a feeling it is made by the same factory that King Arms is sourcing from.) Compare that price to the real steel item, which is machined from tool-grade steel... and costs a whopping $225USD. *barf*
You're right, it's probably not a big deal. Still, compared to all the high quality sights out there... this is easily overlooked.
