I used to have a green/black one back when I had CADPAT, wore it all the time for games, field ex's, etc..washed it plenty of times too, got more comfortable in my opinion.
Same thing goes for my 'newer' tan/black one that replaced it (after I sold it). I even wore that to work when the weather was colder. I don't wear it often now since it's usually hot, but when the weather isn't blaring death and humid, it's wrapped around my neck.
I like to simply wrap mine around and tuck it under my top layer.
