Problem fixed...
All my batteries were F'd up... The volt meter showed they were putting out the juice, but they were not holding a charge. Brand new batteries " D.O.A."
I got a custom battery made up here in Edmonton for $90.oo , yes pricey for a NiCD 9.6v 2000mah but it is industrial size battery and seems good thus far. I am in the field tomm. and will know the truth, then...
