Cool. Reminds me of an article I posted a month and a bit ago regarding long range testing of a few rifles (.45-70-500 being one) that was done in the late 1800's, to determine bullet travel time they had a wired radio handset near the gun, and a guy with the other handset in a bunker near the target wall, well over 4500 yards away, he's start the watch at the sound of the shot and stop it upon impact. Recall some of them having a flight time of 21 seconds.
Overall, clever approach!
