From my understanding and don't quote me, but TM HAS to make plastic guns. Someone as a So-Cal airosoft shop told me it was a legal issues and that in Japan, replica guns can't be sold with metal bodies.
Ever noticed all the HK, Tawain, etc guns are metal and all the jap ones are mostly plastic? Ever seen a Jap gun with a metal body or metal slide stock?
