KWA is the Taiwanese manufacturing branch of KSC. The guns are identical in design and the companies are directly affiliated; the name is different only because of some legal mumbo jumbo.

There are two threads further down in the Airsoft Guns Discussion page that deal with this. General concensus is that the difference is mainly in trademarks. Some people believe (myself included) that there may be QC differences. The tradeoff is dramatically reduced price - this is $80 less for a FMU pistol than the plastic KSC.

Having owned a KWA G19 before, I was very happy with it. Only traded it because I got an excellent offer on a W/A gun.
