Depends on the kit, and the gun, IMO recoil kits should be used with CO2.

Recoil Kit + GHK + Devil Hunter CO2 = wtfhaxawesome

Also note-able, if you reduce the fps of your gun that was 450 FPS, to something to 350 with a lame pass, er, NPAS** it will reduce the blow back feel.
