Hate to burst the bubble but I highly doubt it is airsoft, would be nice if it were but it is probably simunition use we see here.
Below are some pictures showing multiple SF units from different countries during a training event in Germany. You can see its simunition via the blue bolt, the masks are worn to protect from the simunition.
Also note on this picture the blue paint the guys have on their gear.
