if it's a g&g max gun it could be anything from a 130-150 spring.
I don't think you need to change the gears anyhow... 18:1 is the standard ratio in almost every gun.. and the lonex standard ratio gearset is 18:1. If it ain't broke...
I was getting a pretty silly rof on a 100 spring g&g max m14 with a 9.6v 4000mah battery... close to 20 I think... I was pretty impressed for a stock gun.
you're going to need a bigass discharge lipo to get above 20 on 18:1 gears through. I think my p90 maxed out at 20~ or so before I did the silly things to it. Back then it had standard gears and a guarder infinite torque motor. 20c 11.1v lipo.

I futz with V2s, V3s and V6s. I could be wrong... but probably, most likely not, as far as I know.
