Metal clipboard that was Krylon'd to take off the shine. The map is indeed taped to the top cover of the clipboard to ensure it doesn't take off with the wind or something.

That pic was taken before the shoot when we were gearing up (notice that at this point, I hadn't lost my Benchmade...
yet 
) But that's correct, I moved some pouches around after that pic as I picked up a package with a some I was missing (100rnds SAW, .45s and frags) on my way to the location.

I had 3 mags in the shingle, 2 in the SAW pouch (plus one in the gun). If needed, there was space left in the SAW pouch for at least two more, plus the MR pack that would be carried most of the time (with binoculars, spare MBITR batteries and other stuff).
