i'd suggest finding the set up that's best for you. i've tried the boom style and the the iasus sniper. both work well but they both have they're flaws. i'd suggest finding something that's comfortable for your set up. your ears size, shape and postitioning on your head make a world of differance when looking at an "over the ear" boom style headset in terms of comfort and stability. then there's how thick your neck is and how well you fit and secure a throat mic to function the way it's designed to. also consider how the wiring set up is in terms of all the points that the rig will touch your gear....radio postion on rig...location of ptt...running of wires...tention of wire leading to thoat mic pickup.
