Why anyone would bother registering a real firearm is beyond me. JUST because the government TOLD you to? Ya, right! 90% chance it'll get either lost, the info pertaining to your gun completely screwed up, the address your firearm resides at, and if the info remains correct, what purpose does it really serve? All of the above is pretty much current statistics, so regarding airsoft, why bother? I've heard of people registering heat guns, grease guns, nail guns, staple guns over the past 5 years during the period it was free, just because, no other reason. If you want to register any type of thing that has gun attached to it, go right ahead.
