Nothing wrong with the charger in the OP's link. I've been using one for the past 5 years and have had no issues with it or my batteries as a result. It may not be a Cadillac with all the bells and whistles, but it will charge your battery and stop charging when the battery is full. Just because it doesn't have 395 dials, switches and displays, doesn't make you french toast and hold your dick for you when you take a piss doesn't mean it's no good.
I would say it's not good on 3000+ mAh batteries, as I've had no problem charging up to 2800 mAh with it, but my 3500 mAh NiMH battery never gets a full charge using it.
So like kalnaren said, a proper smart charger is better, but if all you have is this little charger, it will work just fine without frying your batteries.
