Agreed.
9.6v makes trigger arcing noticeable MUCH sooner, and large 9.6v batteries melt trigger blocks (more amperage = more heat, more voltage=more arcing). But I've seen even a 7.2v marui MP7 have problems due to dirty contacts from arcing.
But with the MOSFET, you pretty well eliminate arcing, and it also severely cuts down the amount of heat going into your trigger block. I've seen 3 of them melt on 9.6v NiMH C bell batts, imagine what an 11.1v LiPo would do...
