Just wondering why the piston keeps cracking on the sides where the first tooth is. I have shot about 4000 rounds with this piston.

I have added a picture to show where.

the piston is a StormTech MAX Impact Polycarbonate Piston

I have upgraded almost everything on the gun except adding a tight bore. But im still running the stock spring.

Not sure why it keeps cracking, I was told it might be the gears doing the damage, but not sure how to check or find out.

King Arms Helical Torque Gear Set. does it also with the regular gears.

Motor is a G&P M170

Also if you have any suggestions id appreciate it thanks. Maybe another type of piston or whatnot.
