I'm pretty sure i'm right but hell, i'm pretty sure i might be wrong too,

i've read a lot and basically know that longer the barrel, better the accuracy right? so, is attaching a silencer only good for the looks? or does it actually help by "making the barrel even longer" and thus having more accuracy?
