Apart from the gas in the mags to retain the pressure and lengthen the lifespan of the seals, I would say field strip it, clean/oil it and then store it as you would any other firearm. Cool dry place would be good. I have those "do not eat" silica packs in my gun cases to reduce the chance of rust.
