You are grinding the end of the threaded guide rod...not the base of the nozzle. The body (shell) of the nozzle screws onto the base, the base screws onto the rod. There should be no issues with screwing the nozzle body back onto the rod.
Use temporary loctite...or it'll unscrew with use. I believe the factory uses red loctite to assemble and you need focused heat from a torch to get it apart.
This is a "one-way" mod...once you alter the length of the guide rod and increase FPS, you cannot lower the FPS without making other mods.
It is not adjustable either...unless you take the nozzle apart.
