Problem with a lot of those low resistance wires is the thickness of the insulation, which is what causes most of the headaches because it makes the mechbox sit off center, or the insulation is so soft it gets cut easily, causing shorts.

Most AEGs use #18AWG Teflon insulated wire, bigger is better (depending on the thickness of the insulation), but if you can't fit it safely, you can't use it.
