AGM GBB M4 external compatibility?
 

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to convert my AGM to a full length M16A4 style rifle. I have the 20" M16 style outer barrel on the way. What handguards would fit the stock AGM handguard retainers (i.e now that they're much further apart)? Would TM style M16 AEG ones fit?

Same question for the stock, to go on the stock AGM buffer tube, would TM compatible AEG full stocks fit?

Can I use a real steel AR charging handle and pistol grip?

Can't comment on the handguards.

You can't use AEG stocks on it. It wouldn't fit over the 6-pos buffer tube. You need the GBBR style, with an A2 buffer tube (rifle style, not for sliding stocks).

Real pistol grips work. Real charging handles work, with some modification I think.

From what I hear, only AGM buffer tubes fit AGM M4s, not WA compatible ones, thus there's no way for a full stock at all?

Change the lower to a G&P one to make it fit aftermarket tubes.
Stick the G&P GBB M16 full stock.
Stick a M16 G&P front end kit for GBB.

Done.

RS charging handle should work (never tried).
RS grip work (tried).

RS charging handles will need the 2 tabs on the side to be milled off as WA uppers do not have the slots like the ino.

AGM upper does not fit with G&P Lower, at least not according to Redwolf. You'd need to get a whole G&P set anyway since they are not sold separately anywhere...

There's a tan G&P VLTOR in the classifieds going for 350.

What about the handguards?

Strange how no ACM company made a AGM compatible full stock buffer tube... a new lower is out of the question for me for now.

If the AGM Delta Ring works can't you just put a regular M16 style handguard on? I don't know what AGM's thread spec for the barrel nut is though...

Well I figure so, but does anyone know if I should buy a real M16 set or would airsoft TM AEG compatible ones fit?

G&p front set is a direct drop in for sure base on the report it seems to have fitting issue for aeg
ps if you want 20" tightbore wa/agm inner I have one for sale in classified

Well I would imagine GP WA ones would fit... what about real ones?

For the barrel system I plan to get a hopup that allows AEG inner barrels and rubbers, cheaper that way.
