M4 and M16 same mags?

Are M4 and M16 mags the same thing? They seem to be the same no? I`m checking the mags on 007airsoft and they sell for 10$ a STD mag (STAR brand) but its for M16 and my gun is a JG M4 ... wonder if they fit? Thanks.

Well the RS M4 is just a compressed M16 firing the same size round. So I would have to go with a yes.

Yes they are

They are the same but there may be slight fitment issues depending on the brand of mags you get and the brand of gun you have (too small/large for the magwell) which in that case you just need to tape your mags (to make them bigger) or file them down a bit.

for realsteels, they r same.but for airsofts, most are slightly different between different brands.

Several "Armalite" series weapons such as the M4, M16A1 - A4, various carbine version of the M4 and M16, sniper versions of the M16 such as the SPR.. all take the same magazine both in real life and in airsoft. This applies to both 30rnd style mags (banana mags) and 20rnd "VN" style mags. The two are interchangeable. You will find these weapons refered to as "Armalite" which is just a blanket statement for any weapon based off an m16 platform.

Although as previously stated, depending on the AEG manufacturer and the magazine manufacturer, some interchangeability problems may arise.
