Element all steel PSB-1 suppressor review
Hi guys...
Was pleased to have my new Element PBS-1 silencer arrive last week, so did a mini review on video and my blog, if you are interested. The PBS-1 cost me $53usd (inc. shipping) from Ebaybanned.com - and is available at several other Hong Kong retailers. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3600/...54366f741c.jpg In brief this is a superb bit of kit - all be it a dummy non-functioning one. The build quality is excellent, though the steel makes it very heavy. But there is also an aluminum version available by the same company. Funnily enough they are exactly the same price from RSOV and other Hong Kong suppliers! (I like the solid weight of steel though - it's a matter of taste.) Here's the link to my video review: The Element PBS-1 steel silencer - Milgeek 60 Second Review Here's slightly more detail and my rating on my blog: Element all steel PSB-1 suppressor review My rating was: > Quality & finish: 4.5 / 5 > Authentisity: 4 / 5 > Functionality: 3 / 5 > Value for money: 4 / 5 > Coolness factor: 4.5 / 5 http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2087/...8de7f80ef7.jpg Hope you find this helpful. |
Hi Milgeek,
It looks fantastic, I admit I am tempted... I was thinking on putting it on my AK74u, and was wondering if you can just put it on as is (i.e just take off the AK74u flash hider and stick this on), or if you have to increase the length of the inner barrel to actually get it to shoot properly. i.e do the bb's explode as they reach the silencer or do they rattle around inside the silencer before coming out, reducing accuracy?... Cheers. |

Do AK74u's have to have a PBS5? I must admit I dont like the look.
|
Ah, scratch that last post, I see PSB-1's are only made for 7.62mm weapons like the AKM.
Fair enough. Shame, it would look good with one on! |
did they give you free shipping? Also, I thought the AK 105 was chambered in the 5.45, wouldn't that make it more authentic to use a PBS-4/5?

lol, i noticed and i had to change it. Thanks ancorp. Still the questions remains, would it use a PBS-1?

SWEET!!!
|
Wow, that's a pretty great looking replica.
Would look great on an AKMS. |
Is there a reson the Element PBS-1 would not fit an AKS-74u? I mean if it has the 14mm thread, should it not fit?

For airsoft it doesn't matter.
On the real deal the cut down barrel and gas tube means you need to have the right one so it cycles reliably. |

Pretty much just to be accurate and proper, yes.
A PBS1 is designed for 7.62x39 MM AK's, such as the 47, and AKM for example. While the PBS-5 is designed for 5.45x39, such as the 74. |
