Starter gun?

I ordered a MP5 in the mail yesterday

and i am wondering if thats a good starter gun

KND April 7th, 2009 14:31

It's fine. It's good for starter, it's one of the recommend gun for starter because of it's variety parts available for upgrade.

We could help more if you can tell what brand is that ?

ah ok, at least you know to buy from within Canada. The Broxa is debatable, some will say it's a decent gun to start with, others will say no. If you like the look of the MP5 then yes it is a good gun for you, with a few upgrades down the road, you will be fine.

ok good thanks!

what are some good accessories for an MP5?

Zamadu April 7th, 2009 14:43

oh and i don't have a backup weapon yet

my limit for one is $50

Daiviet April 7th, 2009 14:49

You should get out to a few games first before buying anything else (other than essentials like batteries, bb's, eye protection and BDU's). That way you don't waste money on upgrades you'll never use, and a back-up that'll never get drawn.

Before worrying about accessories or a backup I'd get the broxa performing well by regreasing and reshiming the mechbox, and replacing the hop-up rubber with a better one.

Depends on your play style really, personally i would go with a good red dot sight first of all. Internally, a better spring and a tightbore barrel would help out quite a bit with range (especially if you are playing outdoors). I would get metal bushings installed and have the mechbox re-shimmed, (but leave this to a gun doc if you've never opened a gun or don't have someone to teach you).

Other than that, tac-lights, lasers, slings and all that other tacticool goodness. Oh and maybe a get a digital charger, wall chargers are shit,

Good luck:D
