Canadian customs issue.

I have recently had my first issue with the customs agency. My package was seized. The package contained the following:

Quote:

1 x Condor Single Point Bungee Sling - Single Bungee. (Black)
1 x Matrix / Echo1 Reinforced Hop Up Seal Chamber for Marui Type M14 Series Airsoft AEG
1 x Matrix Reinforced Hop-up Unit for G3 Series Airsoft AEG Rifle.
1 x WE Spare Magazine for P08 / Luger Series Gas Blowback.
2 x MAG 100 Round Magazine for Mp7.
1 x G&P AK Slant Full Steel Compensator.
1 x Complete Gearbox for TSD/DE/G&G UMG A.E.G.
1 x FUBAR Velcro Patch. (OD)
1 x Matrix Military Ranking Embroidery Patch with Velcro - Master Sergeant.
1 x King Arms Funny Patch w/ Velcro.(OD)
1 x NC Star Compact Tactical Red Dot Scope.(On/Off Switch)
1 x Guarder Ammo Cheek Pad for Rifle/Shotgun.
- Color: Black
1 x ICS AK Butt Plate.
To my knowledge none of these items are restricted. If that's not correct let me know. The letter i got stated something along the lines of the following:

Quote:

1x Receiver
1x Optic/sight
4x small parts
3x magazines
2x slings/straps
3x patches/magnets
My package is in miss. What are my next steps. Do i take a trip down and explain what everything is? Is the package lost forever?

Input please. Thanks again all.

Damn..
Somebody ordered a complete systema mechbox and it has been seized too.
Maybe mechboxes are becoming restricted now among other things..
>.<

None of those item are restricted.

There is a guy who import the mechbox and get seized as well.

you best bet is call them and be polite ask them which item has been getting seized and found out why also explain that those item is not restricted. Hope it help.

may have been seized bcuz of improper labelling/invoicing by the sender, did you ask them to mark it as something that it wasn't? Or even the stated value might have been off intentionally to save you some coin in duties etc

Or you could just follow the instructions with your letter telling you what your next steps are...

Sounds like they have a new boffin in the Mississauga office who's getting a little overzealous. Do what Illusion advised and follow the instructions in the letter. Until the new guy gets more educated, we may be in for a spate of seizures.

My second-last ehobbyasia order was held at customs for nearly two weeks, but, it was all eventually released. The most recent one was for a LOT more gear and mags, and it went through customs (without seizure) in like, 2 days. We had a lot more stuff that a n00b broker might think were restricted items, too. (Rail systems, mags, vests, etc). I just got it yesterday. (Also went through Mississauga). I guess it all depends on their mood.

Sounds like someone not knowing what bona fide receivers look like and just seizing any box with a trigger. Maybe a policy shift by CBSA?

Well I dont really know why everyone is having Customs issues. I have placed 2 orders in the last month of $500+ USD and so far both boxes have passed through customs in a day. 6Days to my door from RWA..

The first order didnt even have a customs sticker nor did they open the box or any FEES! I will post up the stats on the 2nd order lol.

I have a feeling they have flagged all our usual suppliers and since the recent press exposure to replica weapons, our shipments have been targeted.

I have a G&G plastic m14 stock in inspection as we speak coming from G&G.

It all depends on the Officer who looks through the parcel, pure and simple.

The customs now are a joke. the past few days they have been bitched at because of their lack of training, and that they have threw out most their storage whihc contained gun/drugs/prohibited items into the local dump or something like that. Anyways, so now they probably are taking all gun related parts.. My desert tiger camo BDU still haven't made it to my house.

Actually only SMALL packages of narcotics (such as small enough for personal use) were thrown into the trash. Larger ones were in storage but never locked up. Their security is lacking at these places.

The CBSA needs to revamp their hiring too. If you applied, you literally have to pay for EVERYTHING including the flight to the training facility in Quebec.

Granted though only 35% of people who apply even just pass the the BSOT.
