9.6 4500mah charge rate.

Hey

just a quick question

Do I charge my 9.6 4500mah battery at 0.9 or 1.8?

thanks

the lower is better. it does a more smooth charge, but it does not really matter any ones of the two settings is good for your battery!

Crunchmeister February 9th, 2009 17:44

As mentioned, the slower the better. Should take just shy of 5 hours to charge it at .9. With such a high capacity pack, 1.8A is ok too and should take roughly 2.5 hours.

K I just revieved this battery brand new. I attached it to my smart charger and charged it at 0.9 for about an hour and it said it was charged. So when I shot it, the battery died within 120 shots. Could it be my Fuze or something?

What brand of battery, what chemistry (NiCAD or NiMH), what charger?

Throw both of those directly in the trash and get something decent.
Seriously.

That's your problem right there.

Thats not a very reasonable answer.

Ive seen this brand of battery perform well with my own eyes.

I know it doesnt mean they are good but it also doesnt mean that it fails at

the first few rounds.

Yes, yes it does. Tenergy batteries are shit. You may get the odd good one, but many, MANY people have had trouble with them.

www.cheapbatterypacks.com for the win.
This place make high quality, awesome packs.

I recommend Kokam, PolyQuest, E-Flight, FlightPower Evo...
There's over 200 battery packs here, go nuts. http://www.greathobbies.com/search/r...ch&srchcat=VPL

Those are all lithium. He needs Ni-Mah.

I bought a Tengery 3800mAh pack last year, agreed they are garbage. I still can use it (when it wnats to charge) but my Sanyo 8.4V 3300mAh battery still runs and charges strong, been using it a LOT since I bought it in 2005. And the 3300mAh out performs the 3800mAh, go figure. Buy cheap, get cheap. Got mine for $25US.

Except CheapBatteryPacks, whose packs are amazing at a really good price, lol.

CDN__Player February 9th, 2009 20:52

But it cant be 100% defective? Can it? If so Im sending this back.

arcanuck February 9th, 2009 20:59

I had a NiMH work good for a while and then it went bad. Got another and cycled it a dozen times before putting into service and...it failed the same. Cheap brand was the cause.
