Metal Bodies

Hey guys I am new in airsoft and I have a G&G PM5 (MP5) A4 but it has a clear part to it because Canada's law asks so. So I was wondering if any of you guys know how to change those plastic bodies into metal bodies

Generally you'll have to just find a metal body and switch it over, finding the metal body is the hard part!

Except for the magwell, the trigger group/lower receiver on a real MP5 is also plastic.

But do you think its possible to import it from airsoftgi.com? or is it illegal in Canada?

You cannot import non-transparent receivers, they're technically illegal to import into Canada. Hence why the gun you have has a transparent receiver. If you want one, look through the buy and sell section. If you can't find one there, go to the appropriate wanted section and post a wanted ad.

Alright Thx guys

In the meantime, you can spraypaint the clear body... just make sure to do a good job at masking all the parts off that you dont want paint on... and using a good paint (krylon) doing several coats and waiting for each coat to fully dry before re-application, its a temporary fix... but its nice then looking at a clear gun all day

Probably because the magwell is part of the upper? :p

You're AVed, so why not look around the appropriate sections? I'll admit though, MP5 parts aren't the most common things found in the sales area (not like ARs or AKs).

He's already taken earlier advice and posted a wanted ad.

..shit.

Ohwell. Probably the best route to take.

but you have to remember painting a clear gun making it look real is illegal so its at your own risk.

The act of painting a clear gun could be construed as manufacturing a replica. They came into Canada legally as clear, with a judgemnet rendered by the CBSA and CFC based on the fact that they were clear. So, by painting the gun, you would be altering it's rather narrowly defined slot in the great game of guns in Canada.

Are you likely to get arrested for it? No. But if you were a twit playing with it in the park with your buddies, or tried to hold up a gas station with it, look out.
