Dboys/Boyi AEG

I was just on RSOV and I saw that boyi is coming out with a scar-l (bifnscar) and I'm so tempted to get it.

Based on past reviews Dboys/boyi is a mediocre company, but what about their recent products? Has anyone had experiences with newer dboys/boyi?

I just saw the same thing and was just about to make a thread about it.

Anyways I hear alot of good things about the brand. I've personally bought alot of their M4 Parts, and most of them fit okay. Quality is quite excellent.

I just ordered their AK74MN and it should be arriving next week, I will write a review on it later.

HA ha ha. indeed.

How are their receivers? i've found a few that i'm kinda interested in for my TM M4 but i dont want anything made of tin foil.

Meh, pot metal, nothing fancy, trades are often misspelled. Sometimes modifacation is required to the mag well or other parts as QC is shite.

jesster202 April 24th, 2008 15:31

the mag well does need to be modded quite a bit to fit some mags they are pot metal but can be sent off for real trades to be ingraved as they or only painted on also they are decent for the price. and idk if u wanna flame dude so go ahead i hoestly dont care. i keep to my self so should you.

Their AK series have a lot of steel - their receivers included.

Not certain about their Armalite series, but just keep it in mind.

Internally their AK series are supposed to do pretty decent out of the box, too.

I just got the AK74MN and it's fucking great.

full steel except for where it shouldn't be steel. There's a minimal wobble on the flashider but that's fine with me.

Shoots less than 1" groupings at 30feet with no wind(full auto). The gearbox is reinforced along with 7mm bearings.

++++awesome stuff

Where did you get it from?

Skladfin May 1st, 2008 19:44

From the guy on the classified :D

paramedic June 11th, 2008 21:51

so can anyone confirm the quality of the Dboys SCAR or is possibly up for a thread in the review forums? i read couple reviews from US dealers ,most give it 5 out of 5, some even claim 390 out of the box

Dusti69 June 11th, 2008 22:23

i have d-boys rail covers...... haha

Sadiztix June 11th, 2008 22:27

i have a dboys *kalash* series aks-74 and it's fucking tits
it's probably my 5th aeg
and for a china clone it's actually very nice
as skaladin said
most of it is steel

internals are actually quite good
the gears are solid and well made
shoots just under 400fps out of the box
so i downgraded mine

only thing i think aren't the greatest are thier motors
and thier hop up units and rubbers
