Looking for Advice

Hey everybody,

I've only played airsoft in little "back-yard brawls" and I am interested in getting into real airsoft. I was thinking of getting a G36C (I love that gun), i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a decent $250-550 priced gun?
thx:D

That would be the JG version of the G36C. I have one, it's full on bang for the buck, there are also further reviews here if you search.

That's kind of a personal question.

Oh wait you're asking him not me right?

If you are in Canada, and want to be legal, it matters. That is what the age-verification is for.
That is why he asked. Back-yard playing tends to be a clue. Same for asking about the cheapest gun possible.
A location in your profile also helps; different place/countries have some different laws and rules.

Sounds like youre being an ass about the age subject. If he can play in his backyard with an aeg, he can play in the field.

And don't buy a 400 dollar gun, just save a few grand and get something really good.

Erm , no ? He's not being an ass about the age subject, it's the LAW. You cannot, repeat, cannot play in your backyard. And knowing his age is important because you have to be 18 to buy one...if he's not then why would we bother giving him advice on buying one ?

ThunderCactus November 18th, 2007 17:04

I'm only asking because he just joined and his profile is incomplete, not to mention he stated he wants to get into "real airsoft" implying he is using clearsoft, and it's common knowledge that despite stores require you to be 18+ to buy clearsoft, pretty well every underage kid owns it.
I wasn't trying to be an ass, it's a legitimate question.

Well when you are 18, this site can be ur best friend.. Till then no more questions and read whats already answered on the site.

Crytx November 18th, 2007 17:52

well, see, parents can purchase a gun for one if one is not 18, and i know a place that accepts players as young as 16, so i figured that i could get started early

ThunderCactus November 18th, 2007 20:26

Thanks for answering, check the "Canadian retailers" tab at the top of the site, check out their stock and check reviews on those guns

Technically your parents could buy them, but then they would own them and legally would not be permitted to give them to you until you're 18. At any time you play at the field, by law they must supervise your use of the replica (i.e. be with you at all times).

Reading the info on this site is a good step and will fill you in on a lot of the intricacies and courtesies of airsoft in Canada. You're almost 18 - be patient for just a little longer rather than thinking about possible runarounds and you'll find that the community will be much more inviting.

welcome to ASC. for now you can start gathering information on the guns and gear you're gonna buy. find a local rep and get age-verified when you turn 18.

Canada is big. Can you narrow it down just a bit? Different Provinces and even Cities have different resources.
Stop making us guess, or do your own research in the Teams and Games sections to go see people and guns.
