My WA2000 - candyman build

Greetings from across the pond, thought i'd show you all my WA2000, some of you will have seen it, some of you will not. I found your forum while googling for pictures of the Unique Alpine TPG-1...... you can probably guess why! Anyway, some pics and info on the WA I made.

It took 223 hours over 10 weeks

Cost £255 in parts for the gun and £150 for the accesories

At the time I had no mill or lathe, so all parts were made using a vice, files, hacksaw, pillar drill, dremel, etc.

All pics are here Candymans airsoft WA2000 build

yea if you click the link he has at the top, says he used a WA pistol internals to power.

candyman January 10th, 2007 10:04

Thanks guys. Yes as Bllodsport said I used a western arms pistol for the internals as I wanted it gas blowback but not using an external gas rig like the Asahi. I added a 650mm barrel and it shoots about 330fps. Over 200 pics of every stage of the build are on my site, along with a video of it firing!

oh yeh and it weighs 6.4kg, i tried to get it as close to the real thing as possible.

Zeke January 11th, 2007 15:28

Wow....that is simply stunning!

wingman January 11th, 2007 15:56

Wow dude. That is seriously impressive! Any chance you might sell the plans?

Drake January 11th, 2007 15:56

Okay, I'm pretty jaded and not easily impressed, but this one blows my mind.

Did you say blowback?

Okay, now you have to post a video of it shooting. No arguing. Go forth and record video. :)

MrEvolution January 11th, 2007 15:57

Holy Shit. Impressive.

HellRanger January 11th, 2007 15:58

I have to admire you if only to commit yourself to such a build, but I also have to admire your worksmanship.

I'm certain no pictures can do it justice, it's one of those pieces you have to hold and handle to appreciate to its fullest.

Cheers,
HR

I am stunned... and in lost of words... that is amazing that you constructed that yourself with those tools at hand... I am in awe... good job dude...

May I asked what processed you used to paint the gun?
