JT goggles?!
hi
i have seen several guys wearing JT goggles... but without those silly pbfaceshield... did you buy the whole facegoggle or what? thanks |
You usually have to buy the whole shebang and you just throw away the shield LOL.
|
yeah , that's what I did and it does a good job
|
Not all models of goggles allow for the removal of the mask portion, so be sure to check before you buy.

The Proteus goggles might not be the best choice if you plan on ditching the mask. That's what I've had for a year or two now, but when I went to remove them, I discovered that the strap is attached to the mask, not the goggles themselves. Therefore, it's too short to attach to the goggles once you get it all apart.

link to one of the possibles? if possible at wgc or redwolf...
thanks |
I picked up THESE and just took a hacksaw to cut a slit in the back, so I can remove the goggles. This way they retain the ability to work with the mask should the need arise. Its a simple mod, but I can take a picture if you want.

jap... i took the one given as example... but it didnt work... :(

Well, heres what I bought at CT
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...0_CC_392ab.jpg this is what I ended up with. The plastic they use to make the mask is flexable, so it didn't make a very pretty cut... but I dont really care if its raggy or not. I doubt it would tear up the headband. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j267/Regguj/cut.jpg |

The ones I have are thermal, and they didnt fog up when I wore them last, despite all the sweat that was dripping off my face.
