G36 series

Is there currently any full stock for the G36 series? I searched and couldn't find one. Any help?

Closest you'll get is G&P's Norwegian "V" stock. See my review here. Well worth the money.

QuiN March 4th, 2006 13:29

Yapp, there's one from G&P (grey-black) and one from CA (black).

I think he's asking about a full stock, as in the G3/MP5 type full stock, not the full size skeleton stock. Correct me if I wrong.

There is only one full stock and it's the V-stock.

Cool, thanks for that. Unfourtunately I'm tiny, so to put a large battery in there wouldn't work out well for me if you can't make the stock smaller. Are there any other ways to get a large battery in the G36 series? (Namely the G36/G36K, don't need a large for a G36C in my opinion.)

Right now I'm thinking that as a practical choice I will probably build my collection based on the G36 series. Interchangable mags and accessories will cut costs quite a bit as opposed to other guns. I just don't want to use a full sized rifle with a small battery in it.

QuiN March 4th, 2006 13:36

Well, i think we understand two different things under the word full stock.

H&K says:
Full stock is the full size (skeleton) stock (as Darklen said) in opposite to the small stock of the G36C. The V-Stock is just a norwegian variation of the full stock. so we just misunderstood each other.

You can squeeze a 9.6v 1100mah nimh mini in the forend, and I mean squeeze. It's a tight fit but it does fit. Or you can get a larger forend that'll fit large batteries. Alternatively, a PEQ battery box on a ris will work.

Cheesevillage March 4th, 2006 14:11

Yeah theres a couple of larger foregrips available. I would have sworn there was just a tread about (G36) aftermarket grips around a few days ago. Can't find it though.

Price wise, the best way to get one of these is through a UNc or WGC order.

if you're using a G36c, i recommend going with a larger foregrip, CA makes a good one. You won't have to rewire your gun and you'll be able to fit a large 8.4 in there for sure.

The G36KV stock (when fully collapsed) is actually shorter than the G36C stock.

Aaidin March 4th, 2006 23:32

Ok, well, you guys gave me all I needed to know about the stock, thanks. I'm definitely thinking I'm going to go ahead and get into the G36 series (starting with a G36K). Anyone got any experience with the CA36K? All the reviews I've read have been good. I'm ok with just having 2-4 batteries for it. Gives me some other equipment to carry anyways. After that any other recommendations for the series? I plan on a couple G36K's, a full G36 (probably with a launcher, etc...), a couple G36C's and an SL8 (or SL9). I like having things that match, so this will be like a wet dream for me...heh.

Go with Intellect 1200mah minis, they're the best minis available. You want the 9.6v, CA36s are able to take and prefer to take 9.6v. It's also possible to build a large battery modelled after the Sanyo make (3x2 and 2 free hanging) but with the superior Intellect cells.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into those.

I seem really bad at finding things on the internet (or things I want just never exist) so I was wondering if someone could give me a hand. I don't like the carry handle with intergrated optics the G36/G36K come with and I want to replace them with the standard G36C Top-Rail with Iron Sights, which I figured would be a pretty commonplace part (you know, in case someone broke theirs). However I can't seem to find one anywhere, so any help would be appreciated. Also, I love the flash-hider on the G36K and would maybe want to throw one on any other G36 series guns I got and I can't find it either (again, I assumed it wouldn't be a hard part to come by). If anyone can help you definitely have my gratitude. thank in advance!
