Krytac gearbox swap,
 

I have a krytac that I'm currently using for parts because the front receiver broke ( lvoa-c) I was either thinking of swapping a krytac into the g&g cm16 raider ( is it compatible?? ) or since the lower receiver still works and such am I able to make it into a pdw ? If so what parts do I use ? Preferably would want to know if I could put my krytac gearbox into the cm16. Thanks guys !

Reply from Toronto Airsoft; I was able to try and test fit a Krytac Gearbox into a cm16 receiver and found that the guides for the rear body pin make the Krytac gearbox a bit too wide to fit.

In terms of how similar the two gearboxes are, the Krytac gearbox is slightly different. Krytac made the space between the bearings for the spur gear a bit thinner to accommodate their thicker selector plate and right side selector switch. As a result, it uses its own proprietary spur gear, but can still use standard 18:1 ratio sector and bevel gears.

If your lower is still good, why not just buy a new krytac upper? They’re available easily, just not cheaply.

Can you point me towards the right direction? I can’t find any pdw uppers for Krytac ? Or other brands compatible ?

when did you buy it? maybe the warranty cover the damage. Contact krytac directly and ask about replacement parts that you may need.

Quite some time ago. Also I’m just looking for an alternative pdw Ris handguard rail( I don’t want the key mod version) both an inner / outer barrel. The hop up and upper receiver are luckily still really good.
