Yeah, a 2K USD gun that fires 300FPS with 0.2s and has an AUG sized battery... yay, i think.

On WGC, if that was the same gun, it said mag cap. was 300 rds.

Shinjin_MC November 17th, 2005 15:57

the DX version fires at 400 with a mag cap of 2000 for 200usd more

Awesome replica of the more modern MG42. I don't think it's actually made by Shoei is it? I thought that they simply used the Shoei parts to make this.

Seeing that almost makes me want to sell my truck and get one.

666 November 17th, 2005 16:17

made Man, it's not about how fast it fires, it's all about how it looks like. I'm sure spring is upgradable for more FPS.
Gish, Yup, I'm thinking about the same thing. They probably used Shoei parts and built a custom MG.

I was just researching about this gun a few days ago. Price tag is way way to high for me. It has a custom made mechbox and only 100 of them have been made. In all my research though I couldnt find the company name that makes them. I do hope they sell the drum seperatly though. I plan to make my own MG3 very soon :salute: I hope those star mechboxs turn out to be good.

Well, you can always get a real steel mag shell without the spring/guide/etc and mod it to fit a hicap. It has been done with an RPK drum mag before.

Slick November 17th, 2005 23:45

Ya the RPK drums are really big though. I was thinking of buying one of the electric airsoft drums and putting the internals of it into a real mg42 drum. But if this company release an airsoft one that would be perfect :D

Marstar has entire container-ship loads of parts for that gun. Customizing it with real parts would be easy.
And yes, like anything, if you want the looks, you'll get it. Performance can be changed.

Sometimes it's worth it to get something unique.

Was looking into this myself. Only going with bren parts.

I would need to make a airsoft reciever and have it so it takes ak mid caps.

The problem with the mg42 from that site is that the heat shield and reciever are all one piece. Kinda annoying that the most noticable thing on the mg42 is attached to some that is prohibated.
