Iceback cancled need new milsims to go to :(

As many of you know Operation Iceback IV was cancled today, and now many of us are looking for a new milsim to go to, I heard Red Dawn was the same weekend, but what are the options around that time that are similar length BC/AB area and most importantly have night portions!

Unsung Hero June 16th, 2016 14:49

Go to Op. Red Dawn and join team Russia. Profit.

Red Dawn will have night portions. It is going to be played in Padova city, an actual abandoned city outside of Kamloops. While this year unfortunately we won't be allowed to enter buildings, if this takes off in subsequent years we most likely will.

Utterly terrified. :p

Im just going off what the organizer has posted. Apparenty if this goes well next year will have playable buildings. Some of them are simply too decrepit to go through at all however.

He needs to sell 100 tickets by july 12 for the event to be green lit, so I suppose take this as a plug for it. I for one would love to see this happen.

Have a link to registration and more info?

That site looks epic

He seems to be only running on facebook. Update though, the tunnel network running under the city are now open for play, as is the school and firehall. The school alone is 44,000 square feet of indoor goodness, complete with central courtyard. Firehall has sniper nest. Pics are on the page.

TBH I'm a little sad that this is only running on facebook, as I don't have/use it myself, so I actually made an account specifically for this. He has game rules/ registration and all pertinent information up on the group though. Registration appears to be paypal/emt directly to him, followed by a PM on facebook as to which team you wish to join. As far as I can tell he is also very communicative with anyone looking for further information, and is happy to answer all questions sent his way.

Cheers.

Adrian (the organizer) is good people and if he gets the numbers, the show will go on and it will be awesome.

The Russian team will lose though.

Just don't be in the tunnel at midnight.

They're 1/3 of the way in ticket sales for this to be a go.

Just read the rules. They lost me at full sealed googles or glasses.

Sorry, but after spending $2-3000 trying diffent eyewear over the years to find out that anti-fog eyepro simply doesn't exist, game orgs need to stop being retards and look for balance. What is worse, infintessimal risk of BB entering the side, around perhaps a helmet, or a player who can't see PERIOD due to fogging, with NO CHOICE but to try to wipe the eyepro just to see? Or allow a less than perfect seal to get airflow to stop fogging.

You sweat. You fog. In summer in the Okanogan = fogging.

Sorry, I'm out.

One of my guys asked some questions to the organizer about why MMGs had penalties (must be prone/supported to fire) but had no advantages.

The guy blocked him?

This guy is way too messed up if he blocks people for asking questions politely.

My dudes are out.
