Regarding lower receiver importing

I've been looking to replace an old tm compatible px4's tinted receiver for a while but never got around doing it purely because nobody's really had an answer outside of saying customs would seize it if it already had all the internals in it. But would the bare receiver itself be legal to import? (this one's out of stock, but it's just a gutted lower receiver) http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/nebula-sp...l#.Vy1vQfkrKUk

Get av'd and we can possibly help you get parts. We have a few px4's being sold on the forums with solid black receivers.

Thanks. But I don't need any help getting another one. Just wanted some clarification if I could import a regular plastic frame for one without having to worry about customs (like with other parts).

The frame contains the serial number and it is considered the actual firearm, therefore you cannot import it in

Thanks. Is that related to specific receivers with printed on serials or to any regardless of whether or not they leave the serial nameplate missing?

it's in regards to that part of a FIREARM not being able to be imported without paperwork, but you can't get that paperwork becase it falls under IMMITATION FIREARMs and REPLICAs. The serial portion is what's quoted in the documentation for importation but the agent can make that distinction on any part if he so chooses. His word is final generally.

just no..

I can import firearms I bought in USA if I want all the paper work and tax duty, but I can't import replicas cause they are not real but still look like real ones...Canada's laws on this is kinda weird, but w/e...

Probably because Samoon ships through "BEST BIKE COMPANY" and usually lists stuff as "spare parts"

Yep that's how it is. Keep in mind how difficult it would be to import a restricted firearm or part thereof (ie the lower receiver in most cases)
Just for airsoft there are no legal means through forms and papper trails n such so yer sol unless you find locally or buy used or take the risk (highly not worth IMO)
