TMC Multicam Tropic?

Has anyone tried any of TMC's multicam tropic gear?

EBairsoft is claiming their pouches are made of "Genuine US made Multicam fabric"
Although, none of their tops/pants have this claim?

I thought TMC only used china-made multicam? Maybe someone can clarify, but does Genuine US multicam = crye multicam? Or is there some sort of caveot here? Just curious more than anything.

I wouldn't buy it unless it very specifically stated "crye multicam"
"genuine multicam" with a US flag, does not by any means indicate that it is crye multicam
ur-tactical has the OPS line which is a good real crye multicam alternative to the crye or semapo combats.

crye is not the sole producer of the fabric, there's lots of companies licensed in the US and europe that make it now. Some of what the acm companies are using now is probably real stuff. Some probably still aren't. Given that china is the motherofallthings counterfeit even product labels, it's buyer beware.

TMC gear has had genuine tags for awhile, quite a few repro/airsoft companies use real fabric. The issue is usually with stitching and such. Personally I dislike TMC gear, but if you're looking for a quick and cheap option I suppose it's not too bad. It never seems to take a beating well. Get Tru-Spec if you're short on cash.

Emerson has been using real 500D Multicam Cordura for over two years now. It's nothing new.

You could go tru-spec locally, but a bit expensive imo ;\

I have these pants and they're comparable and in some respects, better than my Crye G3s

Sizes are a bit small for some tho.

1 Crye G3 $500
2 UR-Tactical $260
3 Tru-Spec $200

Honestly, save you money and get UR-Tac. Totally worth it.

I bought a pair of Tru-Spec pants in MC-Tropic last year for about $100 +SH from Montreal.

They're good but I almost wish I had opted for the UR tacticals since I find the soft knee pads are a bit lower than I'd like. At the time when I ordered UR tactical didn't have my size.

Some of my friends are also interested in a MC tropic set, but convincing them to get Tru-specs/propper has been a hard sell given their tight(er) budgets.
I've never bought anything emerson/TMC so I can't give them my own opinion.

Also, I noticed my tru-specs have the multicam logo sewn into the pattern between some of the light and dark spots. Is this a definitive way to tell if a fabric is authentic, or is it only done on some blends of fabrics?

I was under the impression the size measurements as advertised were accurate. Ie. Small is up to 32" etc...

Can someone confirm?
