They finally make the holosight

I met these guys at hongkong toy show and they show me this prototype, real laser logosight, very bright even at a bright and white backgroup.

it looks to me that Eotech and Elcan got together one night and this is the result, IMO
i kind of wish that the objective lenses was farther forward on the sight though, but beggars can't be choosers
so what is the estimated pricing on these?

huang January 22nd, 2015 03:59

$200 ish

Kingsix January 22nd, 2015 04:05

Will it have NV mode/ brightness setting?

What batteries does it take?

huang January 22nd, 2015 20:37

No NV, brightness adjustable, takes CR123A

BioRage January 22nd, 2015 20:44

For $200 I rather get a holosun.

It uses a laser? Guess that means you can't use it in ontario lol

OP smells like too much hype and not enough substance. A lot of that goin round on eBay and AliExpress too.

Got one in hand and will test it in a shooting range soon.

In case you may want to know the difference between a holo sight and red dot sight

... It uses a laser in the same way that an Eotech uses a laser. Bouncing it internally and allowing the the image to enter the user's eye...

So based on the photo, looks like there's no good way to add a sacrificial lens... or did they actually get smart, and make that front piece out of polycarbonate?

Considering its a prototype, i dont think its very sensible to so easily dismiss this without waiting for eyes on the finished product.

Wilkie January 23rd, 2015 22:50

I'm hopping its an early prototype. It looks bloody rediculous
