oldest players

I have been told that I am probably the oldest airsoft player in Ontario, hear this a lot this past year, so here is the official post for oldest players. **smiles**
I am 57 years old and still got a lot of playing left, :)

i've friends with players in their mid-late sixties.....don't think i've yet to play with someone in their 70's

Chronological, physical aging, or psychological level of functioning?

I know of many players in my own mid-40's chronological age range. I know of several that are into their 50's.

I know of very few playing in my own physical range of functioning, which for myself is somewhere in the mid-70's, due to a combination of botched hip replacements, and accelerated aging /disease processes.

Mentally.. in terms of the game, i ain't even hit puberty yet. At best, i'm operating at the 12 y/o level.

It all rounds out in the end. 8 or 80, as long as you are having a good time, good on ya.

As i said elsewhere, in an earlier thread... The Doctor had advised that i give up motorcycling, and thought i was bat-shit crazy when i mentioned airsoft 'physio'. He suggested Golf instead.

Fuck him. I ain't dead, yet.

Age, it is all just a state of mind.

My father still regularly plays... he's 62. He made it through all of NF3 without flinching.

We got a player in red deer who's up there. We can't get hi to disclose his age, but i would be he's the oldest active in at least western canada.

I have played a couple of games with a guy who wont say how old he was, but did say he was born 9 months after his dad got back from Europe. In WWII.

I'm only 41, and I'm gratified to read so many players older than I. Like RC, it seems this hobby/sport has no real age restrictions, early tutelage and supervision included, lol.

Trev140_0 July 21st, 2014 14:04

42
Other players at our field:
42, 43, 41, 47, 53,58

List goes on and on....

Would say there is an equal influx of players in 40s and 50s coming in, as paintball was just too childish for most, and this is kinda what these guys always wanted to play. Basically guys who cannot accept essentially meeting at a "pizza party" while moms drop off the 12 year olds.

All depends on the field/venue though...keep that in mind.

Heck, in my neighborhood, I'm
Surrounded by kids who got their airsoft from Walmart or CanTire, except for my next door neighbor who has HQ airsoft. I'm glad to know that, after feeling like the oldest airsofter in the vicinity, that the hobby can far surpass my own age.
