Unidentified Blob of ? (pics)
 

Hey,

New toy came in the mail this afternoon. I got it open and I find this on the rail system near the barrel nut. There are 4 blobs, 2 on top, 2 on the bottom.

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but any idea what this is? Is it normal? IS IT MAKING ME MORE TACTICOOL BY BEING THERE?

Gun is a VFC Mk12 Mod 1.

Looks silver in the pics, but colour matches the rail.

Any help appreciated!

Looks like someone TIG welded a hole.

Hmm I found a production picture with it in there. So I guess it's supposed to be.

Still if anyone can shed some light, I'd be appreciative.

You can just see it in the top left.

My Element replica La Rue rail had the same weld marks, it was what connected the heat shields to the rail system.
