AK104 Blowback Build

Hey everyone, I was thinking of making an AK104 blowback once I finally get the money and time. Would the new APS Tactical AK74 PMC work? It has everything I want save for the front end. Now, I've done some research and I've managed to find two front sets. One made by LCT and another by G&G. Would either of them be compatible? I want the barrel to be that of the 7.62 AK104, not the 5.45 AK74/105. Also, I've heard that the new APS guns are much better than before. Is this true?

I think you need to save more money and buy better than APS. There's just something making me feel very off about the brand. Not sure if it's me confusing it with something like CTAC.

Also, blowback is a mixed bag. I'd recommend a GBBR based build. You can get real hardware and harder kick.

That is true, but the capacity and seemingly more maintenance is throwing me off. Not to mention the cost of GBBR mags. I would go and get a JG or CYMA blowback AK, but that APS tactical AK74 PMC definitely is aesthetically appealing. I'm hoping one of the two front ends will fit on it. I heard that the new APS guns are actually quite good, but I'm still unsure.

APS is crap

electric blowback is fail(breaks quickly) except for the new G&G and then its pretty meh(not much blow lol)

I got a chance to hold one of the newer G&G AK74's, felt really nice... basically like an LCT but the handguard batteries and the craptastic blowback was a huge turnoff.....

I own a G&G RK104 Evo w/ crane stock. Love it. Highly recommend.

Edit: Off_kilter is correct though, perhaps not as much blowback as you would like.

IMHO electric blowback is a compromise between two systems, and it's not a great compromise at that.

If you want an electric AK104, get an electric AK104 (can't go wrong with LCT).

If you want blowback, get a gas AK.

But the thing is, the magazines are ridiculously expensive and 30 rounds compared to the high caps? Naw, seems like a disadvantage to me. And btw, is the G&G RK104 blowback? I thought it wasn't...

The G&G RK104 is electric blow back and comes with all top tech parts. I just gt mine yesterday.

At the moment the only electric ak with any blow back is the Tokyo Mari next Gen. And it doesn't kick anywhere as hard as a gas gun.

Maybe KWA's EBB AK might top it. The ERG M4s have abit of kick.

Everything else claiming to be EBB simply moves the metal charging handle back and forth. Heck half the time on auto it looks stupid with the bolt locked back.

APS receiver and LCT front ends do not work. APS partially cloned VFC and partially did their own thing (mainly to be as cheap as possible). A lot of the newer G&G guns use LCT externals.

AKs are simple no frills assault rifles that are built like tanks. Go do yourself a favour a go get a LCT AK-104/5. They go for $312 these days before tax and are full steel. It's like Buying a east German AK nice workmanship.

If that is too steep go CYMA it's like Buying Romanian Ak's not ad nice on outside, but it can be fixed with some TLC and made into a beast.

APS alas is like a kyberpass gun. They Cloned something but kind of didnt. It also only likes to work in only when being sold. You'll
soon realize they used a lot of weak metal as parts start to fall off.
Heck they even use the old Kyberpass method of writing another manufacturers name on their rifles (echo one, javelin)

Just my 2 cents
