Sorry guys, new to airsof but this cant be right???

Was doing an inspection of my gear box and noticed my piston doesn't seal with the the cylinder. Or at least not by hand. The Gun shoots fine at 300 fps with a m90 spring. No complaints about the gun I just don't understand? isn't the idea that the piston makes a seal in the cylinder?
Hears a video I made showing the lack of seal... also in the video the o-ring isn't so visible, but its there!

Sometimes that will happen if you have too much lube inside the cylinder. Clean out the piston head and cylinder and re-lube lightly.

Looks like there is no piston head o-ring. Can you take a picture instead of video?

Thanks for the replys guys. The o ring is actual there its in front of the groove that u guys pointed out. Should there have been a second o ring in the groove you guys pointed out. Does anyone have experience with King Arms parts?

ThunderCactus January 29th, 2014 01:38

hm. that doesn't make any sense.
The larger groove needs to have an O-ring, it's where those holes on the face of the piston head lead to. So no O-ring means no dynamic seal and you have 6 holes that just go right through your piston head.

I've never seen a double O ring piston head in a KA gun.
Show a picture that's in focus instead of a screenshot from the video.

A KA piston head should look like this

how about you take a pic that's in focus?

The above pic is correct, a KA piston assembly should look like that.

Either way, that's shit compression you got there, son.
