Real Sword Type 56-1 Help Please

Hi all.
New to the forum and just purchased a new RS Type 56-1.
My problem is using either a Hi-cap or Mid-cap Real Sword magazine it will only seem to fire 1 or 2 rounds either on full auto or semi auto and then nothing. You can hear the action cycling when you pull the trigger but no BB's come out of the barrel after the initial few.
I have tried shaking the gun and then sometimes a few more BB's will fire but then no more.
The battery is an Intellect 9.6v 1400Mah and is in good shape.

I know from reading many reviews and forums that mags and feeding can be an issue... but I though that was with other manufacturers mags.

I live 45 mins West of the GTA and have only been to one dealer Mach 1 in North York so far, to buy BB's and to get some very friendly and helpful newbie advice before trying to fire this AEG.

I can diagnose the problem for you for free. I got shit tonne of RS parts if need be

Hi thanks for the reply. How do I get a hold of you to diagnose the issue I am having with my RS?

Hey Seatux, how many magazines do you have? Does this issue repeat with all your magazines or just a select few?

Kingsix October 17th, 2013 22:59

I had a similar issue with my Type 56, can you tell me if your hopup loading nozzle is getting mangled by the metal magazine?

Does it looks deformed in any way?

Try different bbs (brands/weights) and try different mags as well. Also make sure your hop-up isn't all the way on.

2 Both Realsword mags, mid and high cap....same situation happening .

Hop up doesn't seem to be the issue.

The nozzle is still in good shape... the mags are metal but the upper part that touches the hopup nozzle is plastic.

What bb's are you using?? If you push the tab on your mag to release the bb's do they all fly out without issue? I had this same problem. It was a mag feeding problem because of bad bb's. shame on me, I know better but was desperate that day. I tried using some bio bb's from Walmart. **bangs head**

I can't remember if the stock mags are hicaps or not (ignore step 2 if that's the case)

1. Insert a mag full of BBs
* 2. wind up the mag
3. Point in safe direction, put selector to semi
4. Hold the mag up and in tight to the hopup nozzle
5. Keep holding the mag and shoot 5-10 shots

- do you get a BB for each shot?

If so.
1. Let go of the mag and repeat the above

- if that works fine skip down below
- if it doesn't then there's other issues

Repeat from the beginning for full auto
- if you're getting full auto shots holding up the mag but not when you let it go...then follow the tip recommended for modding the BB catch on mags (there were a bunch of threads on it "King Arms mags won't feed" or something like that)

BB's are Elite Force Premium 0.28G.

And being new at this I pushed the tab back when playing with the full mag and it was a volcano of BB's flying out.... So we can eliminate that from the list. :)

Tried both Real Sword mags that I have. One High and one Mid and the problem still exists unfortunately. :(

You need someone to take a look at you gun. If holding the mag up tighter in position doesn't help with feeding there's other issues that will likely require disassembly.

Any chance you could post some pics of in the magwell and of the top of your mags?? A gun whisperer with a good eye may see something.
