Tips to choose a good pistol

Hello everybody !

I just ordered my KWA MP7 GBB about 4 days ago, and now i'm wondering which pistol i should get.

I know there's several experienced player on this forum that could help me to find my need.

Well, i was splitted a lil bit within two options.

First, i was looking for a P226, a Glock 18C or a 1911. Full metal if possible, and new, considering i never upgraded or disasembled a gun before. Knowing this, i didn't know what brand i should choose.

And second, i plan to maybe play sometime when it's cold, like at winter or whatever. I've heard that CO2 is less affected by temperature and is more consistant on velocity. So should i buy a CO2 or a Green Gaz/Propane version of pistol. My MP7 is Green gaz, anyway i plan to buy a AEG for winter. But for pistol, what would be the best option ? And which brand ?

Hope you will be able to guide me a lil bit ! Thanks !

For P226, good options are KJW, TM, or KWA.
For G18C good options are TM or KSC/KWA.
For a 1911 good options are TM, KJW, or KWA.

Tip #1: Buy KSC.
Tip #2: There is no Tip #2.

When looking at this, it remains almost the same in term of brand. Hmmmmm !

Someone told me on this forum that KSC G18C are discontinued, so they are hard to find. And pieces for repairs and upgrade hard to find too and expensive.

TM, i know they are really good gun but, they're all plastic. And they need to be upgraded because their fps are low out of the box.

Tips 2 was about CO2 or Green Gaz, lol

No, KSC/KWA parts are easily available from the KWA USA Pro Shop. They sell all common replacement parts for their guns.

And no TM's do not need to be upgraded. They shoot better in stock form than a lot of AEG's.

Lot of people told me they shoot under 300 fps out of the box. I also saw this a lot in the gun description when looking online for a TM

Anyway, as for the G18C lot of people recommanded me the KSC but new, it's now discontinued. It's sad, it's my favorite handgun.

Otherwise, where can i find a good brand G18C in a Canadian shop ? I prefer buy new to be honest.

Low FPS =/= Bad

However, given how hard it is to get a TM at a reasonable price, stick to other brands.

It's a pistol, it's for close encounters. TM pistols shoot fucking amazingly, the FPS means nothing.

I second that TM pistols are great right out of the box. TM pistols also have the most upgrade and custom parts available so if you get bored of it after a while you can spice things up with metal bodies and performance parts.

Well, if you're looking for a pistol to handle both propane and CO2, you should look into KJW pistols. Most of the pistols have the upgraded red nozzle which is meant for use with CO2.

Out of the box, I most KJW pistols will handle CO2 except the 226. All Hi-Capas, M9s and 1911s have CO2 mags available for them from KJW, and come with the upgraded red nozzle.

If you do proceed with a KJW, try to stay away from the ones with plastic lower frames, unless it's a 1911. The 1911 was designed with a metal interior chassis, which shouldn't break the plastic lower as easily.

TMs were not designed for CO2, if you choose to run CO2 on your TM, it will probably break prematurely in spectacular fashion.

I've never met a KJW anything that I've liked; and I'm not the only one. Avoid WE pistols as well.

Buy TM you won't be disappointed. Yes they are all polymer, but the quality is there. FPS won't play a huge part as your pistol is going to be a fifty to eighty foot weapon, and FPS will not help much with accuracy. A TM gun on duster gas will do the job. TM guns can be difficult to acquire, but not impossible.

KSC is another solid company, but they can be be a little harder to get.

KWA is the sister company to KSC. Their guns are solid and reliable; definitely how you want to go if your on a budget, and readily available in Canada. Some KWA guns are metal to begin with.

If you want really nice, look into RA-Tech custom. I believe they are all metal guns; at least the ones that are supposed to be. Some guns in their real steel form have polymer, carbon fibre, or non metal frames or slides; so keep that in mind while shopping around.

Yes, what's your point? That means nothing.

TM pistols do not require any upgrading. They are of the best out of the box! They are also not as hard to find. You are age verified so they should not be this difficult for you to locate as you seem to suggest.
