Sun Projects M40A1

Well I got this at a heck of a deal, it was a fixer-upper.
This is an oldschool, original Sun Projects M40A1, not the XB verson where they started to cheap out.

I have put about 250ish into ( not including the scope)..
I have but in the enhanced trigger, metal sear, I have a PDI hop up and tight bore barrel that will be goining in this weekend...and I got my gas Bolt today which turned a completely lame-ass stock gun into a very playable gun.

I did some quick plinking in the backyard to check it out and I was very impressed.

Here is a quick look at the accuracy of it with a stock barrel and fixed ( read NO) hop-up.
i knew I pulled the upper left one, but other than that its not too shabby

Now this was at about 85 feet, on a windy day, shooting kneeling unsupported, using .30 BBs....

I finally had to give it a bit of a quick paint job as the stock wood color was starting to get to me...

Have to say. VERY impressed. LOVE the paint job on it, Excellent work.

Any idea what the fps is on that sexy little beast?

Man, You just gave me one more reason to come over to the Island.

very nice, like the paint job. And a reflex on that rail would be nice too.

that's a nice looking gun. I like the paintjob.

You painted over the wood? I dunno about you, but in my world thats sacrilegious...

Bah... I guess it looks pretty good ;-)

Edit:
Actualy, just wondering, what kinda rings and scope do you have on there?

pete, I think maybe it was that faux wood plastic stuff, like is on the AK, but I have been wrong before...

looks good, I'll have to remember to post up some pictures of my Tanaka M40 when it comes in.

No chance. The M40 is real wood (and real nice wood, too) - a teammate has one.
