Good spring pistol for a newbie?

Hey all, I have a few air pistols but I'm a total n00b to airsoft and I have a few questions. I'm looking for a springer just for fun in my yard (I live in the country.) I need some recommendations on a good one. Something with decent range and won't break the first time I use it.
Also, what are the best brand of biodegradable BB's to get that won't break apart and jam?
If you could direct me where I could order online in Canada or what stores to try and find it, that would be great. Thanks.

Where do I get them though? All I see online in Canada are TM parts and their super expensive gas guns. Everywhere else doesn't ship here.

There pistols aren't badly priced, pretty normal for GBB pistols really. Now spring TM's are rare but ohhh so awesome. TM MK23 springer is more accurate than almost any springer short of a true VSR/Type 96 or other High Quality Sniper Rifle.

Get Age verified to gain access to the classified section as well as the retailer area, to find oodles of guns.

Agreed! I used to use mine a lot for Bastard testing, alongside my M24, the rifle for group testing and the MK23 for velocity testing. The thing shoots almost constantly within a few fps for each weight. Too bad I carried it during my last game in my ghillie pocket, and lost my mag in the swamp I was stalking around in. :(

If you're just plinking in your country side backyard, just get a pellet/BB gun. More accurate and cheaper at times. Look at CT web site for the Marksman 2000k kit. This one reminds me of when I grew up shooting darts with my cousins.

If you insist on an airsoft spring powered pistol, get verified and use BB Bastard Bio BB's.

I have a Tokyo Marui 1911 springer and it's super accurate (and soooo good looking), even more so than my GBB P226 at 40 feet or less.
Honestly the only way I can think of acquiring a TM springer is the ASC classified. The retailers don't like to carry TM springers because they're too expensive for the ordinary airsofter; only veteran players or collectors are interested in buying them.

Thanks for the advice, I'll see about getting age verified. I already have the Umarex Px4 Storm for steel BB's and pellets. I just don't want to litter the ground with them. The TM MK23 would be a dream (huge MGS fan)
