Quick Access Wall Mount

I'd love to have a wall mount, but I don't have that much wall space where I live at the moment. For the longest time I stored the rifle using a radiator as a rifle rack, but that obviously wasn't feasible when the heat got turned on. I wanted something secure and easy to latch when the rifle (AR-15 type) wasn't in a lockup.

Solution:

At the suggestion of my roommate, I went out and bought an "Auto Grab Guitar Wall Hanger" for about $15 dollars. It has a maximum load of 13~14 pounds and allows me to remove and replace the rifle easily and effectively with one hand on the pistol grip. Removal is accomplished with a firm upward and sideways pull. The stock is protected by padded foam surfaces, and the mount pivots a bit to allow the rifle to balance.

Pulled upwards:

Replacing the rifle is just the above, in reverse. Obviously this won't work for every rifle... but for an AR-15 type it works wonderfully.

new of the existence of these but never thought about using them for airsoft. Great idea.

That's sweet man, thanks for sharing, I've been thinking of different ways to store my guns and this is a new one, ill have to think about picking one of them up!

wow never seen that design before. Really affordable as well.
7kg load... if you have guns more than 7kg (MG excluded) you have to start scratching your head on what's going on)

Once I get my basement finished, half of an entire wall is going to be Gridwall, for my store and my personal stuff.

It's neat stuff.

Going to be all hook/horizontal pegs for hanging guns.

Kullwarrior: I suppose, if one were so inclined, that they could make an AR that weighed about 13-15 pounds. Damn hard though. The safety factor on this mount is probably a good 3x-4x of the rated load, but I'd rather not test that with a ~$1000 GBBR.

Stryak: T'was my plan, until I realized the only bare wall in my room was directly opposite the window. Granted, I'm in the highest building in the area, but it never hurts to be sure.

Well considering what I do for a living (carpenter) I'm looking at designing and building gun cases. And this would be a fantastic idea.
